Bathing frequency

Unread postby HealthForum » Sun Mar 27, 2011 5:15 pm

Hi there,
I could not find a better place to post my question, so I hope this is the best one.
I am just wondering how often one should take a bath or a shower. For many years I've been doing it for 2 or 3 times a week, but I would like to know what is the frequency that doctors recommend. I googled around and I could not find a definitive answer; many say once a day, but they do not back up their claim (with science Wink). I also read that too much baths can cause some skin diseases, but they do not specify how much is too much, so I am really curious about this.
Thanks in advance

Hugo

I think you can bath yourself or have shower more times daily, if you are not using alot of soap and alot of cheap skin cremes (shampoos) i think its very ok. If your skin producre alot of soap and smear, it really needs to be washed away. ;)

Take a Bath Twice a day and use steam baths and saunas as cleaning alternatives to bathing and showering. Less water is in contact with the skin and there is less removal of skin oils. Soaps are not used. Again sauna and steam bath users traditionally have very beautiful skin.
