I'm 46 and my mother is still trying to make me live by her rules by laying a guilt trip on me for growing up and moving out like all kids do. How long is empty nest syndrom supposed to last anyway? it's been 25 years for crying out loud. She can't or won't get it through her head that i'm my own person with a mind of my own and i shouldn't have to do things her way anymore. she refuses to let go and let me be and i'm so sick of it.
