Implanon and pregnancy?

Unread postby HealthForum » Sun Mar 27, 2011 4:42 pm

Basically I'm freaking out, I have read that people can get pregnant on the implanon. I haven't been feeling "right" for a couple of weeks now but I'm too scared to to a HPT. I usually have no period - haven't since going on the implanon in feb 07, but lately I've been feeling much more bloated and gassy than normal, and been more emotional and getting headaches and been spotting....

If anyone can help *reassure* me (if possible) or just offer any advice I would be very greatful.

As per my knowledge, implanon is a progestin-only method and provides about 3 years of pregnancy protection. And, from what you have mentioned in here, it seems that it would be best to consult your doctor.
