Yeah, the chest pain would be from the damage the nicotine is doing to your heart. Please try to quit...I'm sure your family and friends love you very much and want you to live a long, healthy life.

Smoking is main cause of several serious diseases like heart attack and cancer so I would recommend you that you should quite it asap and should go to a good doctor for chest check up and should follow his/her treatment and advices.

Smoking is a hard habit to break because tobacco contains nicotine, which is highly addictive. Like heroin or other addictive drugs, the body and mind quickly become so used to the nicotine in cigarettes that a person needs to have it just to feel normal. It causes chest pain badly…… :dance

Smoking has many effects on body, almost every organ is affected including but not limited to, lungs, heart, blood vessels, kidney, liver, urinary bladder, intestines, oral cavity etc. http://www.healthkumbh.com/blogdetail/50&Smoking-affects-many-systems-of-body . And it is not that your problems are not because you quit smoking. But there may be a pre-existing problem which co-incidentally exagerrated after you quit smoking. http://www.healthkumbh.com/blogdetail/41&How-to-quit-smoking

I would see a doctor right away - this is not a good sign ! Quit smoking now . Sharp chest pains and in the back are usually a sign of smoking related problems.
