Hi, DarkDuck! Nice to meet you, hun! We were in Kiev last year and it was quite ok. The city looked very modern. In addition, it was rather cheap. We didn’t have to look for an apartment as the clinic supplied us with a comfortable flat not far from the city center. They even supplied us with free meals. Every day, the driver came to our apartment and took us to the clinic. The program manager was our interpreter. She helped us to communicate with the doctors. It was so handy. Hun, you may check whether the clinic you’ve got interested in provides the same services.

It’s good that they’ll provide you with an apartment and interpreter’s service. At least, you won’t have to worry about such trifles as finding an apartment and etc. Hun, will you use fresh or frozen eggs for your program. As far as I know, fresh eggs are more effective than frozen ones. My close friend used fresh eggs. She conceived after the first shot. I wish you the same, dear!

We plan to use fresh eggs. When we sign up a contract with them and finally choose a donor, the fertility specialists will study my menstrual cycle. They’ll determine the date when we have to visit the clinic for embryos transfer. Up to this time, I’ll have to take birth control pills to synchronize my periods with the donor’s ones. When we visit the clinic for the second time, they would take my hubby’s sperm and use it for fertilizing the donor’s eggs. Then three embryos will be transferred into my uterus. I will have to take hormone medicines to support my possible pregnancy. In two weeks the first pregnancy test should be done. If the result is a positive one, I’ll have to take medicines up to the twelfth week of pregnancy.

Hi, there! I’ve decided to join your discussion as I also have some problems with my fertility. My DH and I have been TTC for 4 years. Both my hubby and I have done some tests, and the results seem to be ok. However, I can’t conceive. We tried an IVF with my eggs, but it came a negative result. Now we want to try ED IVF. KattyK, have you made up your mind what to do further? Will you visit that clinic or not?

We haven’t decided what to do further. Biotexcom seems to be ok. They have very reasonable prices. We also liked their package of services. It seems that not all clinics are ready to supply their clients with free accommodation and transportation services. They also offer fresh eggs. These are the things we liked about them. However, they make their clients wait in large queues. For me, it’s not very good!!!

I think you should trust your gut in this case. You’re the one who was there, so you’re the one who would make the final decision. The clinic seems to be OK. It’s great that they offer fresh eggs. Not all reproductive clinics are ready to offer such service for a reasonable price. Did you speak with their client manager? Maybe, you should phone them and talk about the things you disliked during that visit. If it’s a reputable clinic, they would try to fix everything nearly at once.

My hubby phoned them the other days and had a long talk with their client manager. Their client manager apologized and said that they did have loads of patients that day. The plan to open three more clinics to serve their patients better. The clinic’s manager offered us to visit the clinic one more time.

Sorry for interrupting, hi, how are you?
I'm curious, did you visit Ukraine? because we have been recently in this city and we didn't notice such a dangerous situation there. It seemed the center is quite safe and there no worries about war.

2016 was a year when we traveled to Ukraine for the first time. It was very exciting coz we knew very little about this gorgeous country before. Knowing that it's a post soviet country, we were ready for "surprises". but what we found out is that all surprises were exclusively pleasant. We met wonderful people there and learnt that Ukrainians are very welcoming people. many of them speak English. Kiev is very beautiful with lots of sights and good restaurants, and quite affordable in the meantime. We even visited opera house and saw a ballet show :clap !
