I have receding gums and I have noticed recently that my teeth are becoming very sensitive. In fact, it is difficult to brush sometimes. My dentist feels that the recession is from brushing incorrectly and too hard. They advised me to use desensitizing toothpaste, but I still experience pain. Does anyone know if there is a procedure that can correct receding gums? If so, does
dental insurance usually cover it? I know that most cosmetic dental procedures aren't covered because they are typically done to improve appearance. I just wonder if the circumstances are different since this is actually causing me pain. Thanks in advance for any input!
